Wendell August Forge Fire

For 27 years, my mother has worked for a wonderful company in Grove City, PA:
Wendell August Forge.
Today, the building burned to the ground, but not the hearts of the people who work there.

As we view the photos of this tragic loss I am reminded of this scripture:

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. Isaiah 61:2-4

We are thankful that No one was hurt, PRAISE THE LORD!
The owner is a Godly man who led his staff in prayer.
That God is truly in control even in the midst of confusion.

If there is to be an effort to get donations to rebuild, I would like to know. I live a humble life and can't offer much myself, but I'd spread the word in Saxonburg.

Will keep an eye out.

You and others are in our prayers.

Hey. I am a personal friend of the owner of the company and have already decided to take the initiative to take my spring break (high school student) and raise money for the company/family. If there is anything I can do to help or if you have any suggestions for me I would most appreciate it. my e-mail is mandyrose17564@yahoo.com

Praying for the Knecht family and all families employed by Wendell August. I'm an employee at Wendell August in Berlin, Ohio. We were shocked when we heard about this at work today. The pictures make it even more real... Such a blessing that no one was hurt.

To Will and the Wendell August Forge employees our heartfelt condolences for the loss of your jobs and business. As a former employee I count it an honor and a priviledge to have been a part of the Wendell August Forge family. We will be praying for God's wisdom, his will and his perfect plan in the days ahead.

I am in shock! I was traveling abroad in Italy, to visit my daughter who is studying there, and I am just now learning of this tragic accident. From the time my children were VERY little (now age 21, 19, & 17) we have made an annual trip to Wendell August each Christmas to purchase the chosen "coaster" for each of their godparents. We each have fond memories of the tours and personally hammered/punched products they'd make as small children, the train that circled around the gift shop, and the couple of hours we'd spend admiring and choosing the treasures we'd bring home that particular year. I am grateful no one was hurt, but please extend my sympathies for the loss everyone must be feeling. I know I am filled with great sadness; I can only imagine what others, much more invested in time than I, are going through. Hugs & prayers are sent their way from Erie, Pa!

...it was an old building. Build something fresh and more inviting.

Yes. You can see details on Facebook on the WA page. There may be info on their regular site too. They are still in business in a rented facitlity near the outlet mall.
