Life is NEVER Dull 'Round These Parts

As Annie was painting like a mad woman, I took the opportunity for a few pictures.
Here is Caeden hamming it up, as usual!

Austin isn't happy or anything!

Here is where I was trying to get a pensive, hands on the face pose... not happening today, Mom!

Isn't it great when they just pose for you? I didn't plan this one of Aus and Caed.

OK, let's try to get one of all three! Har har har.

Whoops! Where'd Caeden go?

Oh, yea, that's better! Love the cut off heads, Trader Horn bucket, and my leg in the shot! Brilliant!

Mommy has a grand idea that sadly, one little Indian does not want to try! Hee hee!

Our talented family:

Austin trying out for Circus of the Stars

Swooshing Samuel

Off to a good start then BLAMO! He was just trying out for America's funniest home videos, that's all. He didn't hear that is was 'Circus of the Stars.'

Don't worry, he recovered....

One of the greatest things about boys is that they recover from falls quite quickly!

I just got a few photos sent to me of my college roommate and had to share!

She is so beautiful posing with her sweet girls. :)

Here she is with her husband and children.

Here we are in college.

Dance line Titanettes above and dressed as Danny and Sandy from Grease below, lol!

Indeed we made the most of our four years in college!

1 st story

The other day I was cleaning out some items to add to my in-law's yard sale when Jeff picked up a pin and handed it to me. He said, "Why do you have a flag of France pin?" I looked at it and said, "What? I wear that on the Fourth of July and Memorial day. It's not a flag of France pin! It is just a red white and blue pin I found in my grandmother's old things when she passed away." (In fact Austin had worn it for the 4th!) He turned to the computer did a quick google search and indeed, it WAS a flag of France! LOL! So here I had been wearing a flag of France on our national USA holidays for YEARS! Oops!

2nd story
The other day I went to a mommy play date hosted by a lady from our church. It was in her back yard and there were no chairs, so I sat in the grass cross-legged most of the time. The other women did as well. After I got home, I went to the bathroom and noticed that my shorts we ripped a good 8 inches directly in the wrong area! And it wasn't a clean seam! So I knew it wasn't a rip from bending over. Besides they are pretty stretchy shorts. I had pulled them out of the clean clothing I had just washed in a huge hurry to leave. So I didn't notice the tear. Oops!

The only thing I could think of was that Oreo, brat of a dog, chewed the hole! So, I have NO idea if anyone saw, but I can bet someone did! So embarrassing and that is what I get for being in a hurry!

Why share these stories? Because we should always be able to laugh at ourselves! And I sure have a lot of laughable moments! Anyone have any embarrassing moments and are brave enough to share them? Post them! I love a good laugh!

As I mentioned in the previous post, I got to go yardsaling on Saturday. Well, one of our great finds were these costumes for a dollar each! The boys absolutely love them and want to wear them ALL the time! Austin wanted to sleep in his! Here they insisted wearing them to play outside. It was quite a funny site and many passersby comented by calling out, "There's Batman and Spiderman!" Our neighbor even came over and took some photos.

The boys loved it!

Yes, as for Caeden, it will be a little bit before he sees the value in wearing a costume! Mom grabbed him a blue carebear costume to which he pooh-poohed as I thought he might! So, he occupied his time by pushing the bike up and down the sidewalk.

Samuel as Batman.

Our latest attempt to get him to sleep at night is telling him that Batman isn't afraid of the dark!!! Annie actually mentioned this to him first, lol!

Austin as Spiderman.

It was hilarious watching him race around in this costume as he constantly activated his sound-making gloves as he rode by.

Annie as a princess, of course! No superhero costumes for her.

Just one owie.

Today I started off the day with my first yard saling of the year! My mom's treat!
It was super fun and I now remember why I was addicted to it a few years back!
Next we went to the Trinity Living Center's shin-dig. The kids had fun as you can see. I had to post these funny pictures of them. Action shots of kids jumping are so hilarious, don't you agree?

Sailing Sam.

Annie halped Caeden join in for one terrifying (according to Caeden) slide!

LOL, I just think this is funny!

Sam and Annie, ah, to be young!

Super jumps

Caeden and Daddy.
There was even a car show! Woo-hoo for Daddy!

All I remember was this is a suprcharger on a Mustang.

Har har har!

Austin takes a flying leap!

Sam and Daddy!

Austin, Annie (the spiney thing that acted as a happy fun ball) and Caeden.

Austin is like, "COOL CAR!" Annie is like, "Ooh sparkles!"

Birthdays, Markers and Baby Names

Beware my power.... Green Lantern's LIGHT!

Why five-year-olds, markers, and 22-month-olds don't mix.

Nathaniel celebrated his birthday and here he is actually blowing out his candles!
This is not a fake photo of him pretending to blow them out due to slow photographers or perhaps slow cameras! I am ON THE BALL!

Jeff and Alliyah! What a sweetie!

Caeden stitting on a bike four times his size!

Kaity carrying tub a lard, I mean Caeden! I am amazed she got him off the ground as he has a habit of plopping himself down and making himself dead weight!
Also pictured are: Sean, Sam, Jeff, Alliyah, Elli Marcy and Shannon's head.

What happened at the party? Water guns were blasting, balloons were flying in the air and food was being grilled, YUM!

Zach and Austin watching present opening.

Samuel and Caeden. Can't tell they are brothers!

Daddy sporting his Father's Day gift shirt I designed and sell on .
Yes, it is a bit obnoxious! But you know what else is obnoxious? Well I will tell you!
In a world that celebrates getting 'fixed' with high fives and 'way to go mans,' I decided to create a shirt that says, "Fertility is a GIFT to be celebrated!" Getting 'fixed' is actually getting 'broken.' You were working just fine and you broke yourself. Makes no sense to us.
Thank you God for the blessing of children!

I forgot to post this last time around!
Lastly, we have decided on a name. The story is very cool. I got up with Jeff to make him lunch around 5:30 am and couldn't get back to sleep so I checked e-mail. Well I got onto a baby name site and started brainstorming all the names we like and putting them together in different ways. Later on Jeff called me and I asked him about one name that popped out at me. I will explain where I got the idea from after our baby is born. I didn't say the name for a while and instead explained in detail why I liked it. (So unlike me to ramble, I know) When I said it finally Jeff said, "Well that's the name." I said why? He said that as soon as I told him I had a name I wanted to run by him, he said THE name first and middle popped into his head!!! So we believe God gave us this name and are so excited!
We are keeping it to ourselves until after the baby is born!
